Thursday, August 22, 2019 Glen Canyon, Utah

The land and sky were beautiful as I drove through Utah.
Eventually, I arrived at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. It was created by a dam on the Colorado River in Arizona. The dam also created Lake Powell.
To give you a sense of perspective, I took a picture of my black truck and white trailer against the water and the cliffs.
After setting up my campsite, I went kayaking since I brought my kayak along.
The water was cold and deep!
I went exploring!
The rock formations were really interesting!
Look at that rock balancing on the top of that cliff!
See that whitish lizard on the rock? I saw hundreds of them. They were about 3 inches long and they could run straight up the vertical cliff!
See the three black ducks swimming on the water?
There is a Great Blue Heron standing on the shoreline. Can you find it?
See the shadows starting to form? It's late afternoon.
It's sunset.
I made a campfire, but it was still dark enough to see the Milky Way, shooting stars and hundreds of other stars!
The next morning I got up and went kayaking at dawn.

I'll let the next several photographs speak for themselves.
