10/13 Death Valley - Natural Bridge

I wanted to see this Natural Bridge because I had seen the natural bridges in Utah on the way to Ash Meadows. It was hot when I was in Utah in August and it was hot here in October! The temperature was in the high 90s so I put on sunscreen, filled up my water bottle, and took along my hat for this short walk.

The trail lead into the canyon. The trail was once a streambed.
Along the trail, there were these rock formations that looked like they had once been waterfalls. I could imagine that a long time ago, the water flowed over the cliff and eroded a channel in the rocks.

See the natural bridge?
See the people standing beneath it?

Here it is from another angle. Once water filled this canyon and eroded the rock into a natural bridge.

Here is another waterfall channel! There were many of these channels along the trail.

Now I'm headed out of the canyon.

I can see the white crust of Badwater Basin in the distance.

I have been amazed at the variety in the landscapes of Death Valley.
